Bento 2: My funny orange friend in an apple basket decorated with blueberries and grapes. Papaya cubes, ham & cheese roll rainbow bread roll ups, japanese cotton cheesecake, green tea red bean swiss roll slice, carrot & walnut and vanilla cupcake (Lots of natural and artificial sugar here so its not for the toddler! hehe)

Bento 3: Gobble Gobble Turkey. Smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwiches with apple (tail) slices and grapes

June Bento Challenger - Siew Ping Mendes

Bento 1: her skin as white as snow, hair as black as ebony.. SNOW WHITE'S APPLE on an egg sandwich, desserts of checkered apples, grapes and japanese cotton cheesecakes.

Bento 2: hello Isaac! Oh dear, he had no idea what was about to hit him- NEWTON'S APPLE- F= G[(M1*M2)/R2]- Isaac newton is tortilla bread, apple and cheese. Base is rice, egg, sweetcorn, prawn and cucumber bush. Apple tree is salad and carrot. Formula is sesame seeds on cheese. Apple is apple with pea leaf!

Bento 3: 'It's fixed!' said android, ANDROID'S APPLE- grapes, mac apple, cucumber android, chick peas, cheese sandwiches, and cucumbers sticks. Ps. I am a mac user... :-p

June Bento Challenger - Craft Craze

Bento 1: Apple crumble, cream in an apple bowl, red apple flower for the cover, green apple leaf, apple ball & apple shaped carrot

Bento 2: garden party... little girl with long shiny hair holding an apple umbrella in a beautiful garden surrounded with crunchy lettuce, bird in a nest, oven baked chicken strip with breadcrumb, mushroom shaped apple, apple pie party banner & corn :)

 Bento 3: Vroooomm, APPLE car, sausages, lettuce, waffle fries, sun & sky (egg sheet), jelly beans in a gift box cookies, rock melon & dragon fruit balls :)

Bento 1: The Chicken Turkey. Consists of Cheese and beef sandwiches. Carrots underneath with brocolli. And the leaves apple.

Bento 2: The Cars - Scramble egg and rice. With cute apples and grapes Cars shaped ;)

Bento 3: Smile is Sunnah. I am a very busy mother but I never fails to smile. Hope this can make you all smile :) Enjoy your weekend everyone.

The challenge;

* One week only 7 days = 3 bentos.
* All photos must be up on the group page by Saturday 30th midnight - to give people ample time to 'like' your bentos.
* You may post photos anytime during the challenge week
* In every bento, there must be the star ingredient. This months challenge ingredient is APPLE!
* Brunei Bentos! Members Only! Admins not eligible but may still join in the fun
* Post the picture of your bento include a description of what is in your bento and what you did special for the star ingredient.
* When you post the bento of your choice make sure you include ; JUNE BENTO CHALLENGE 1/2/3 (in capitals!)
* PHOTOS MUST BE POSTED ON THE BRUNEI BENTOS! WALL (no sharing from personal albums)
* The Member with the most total likes for their bento for the whole week wins! Eg ; 1+2+3 (no of likes for each bento each day) = 6 likes
* No new members will be added from now and during challenge week.
* Challenge Bento must be in a Bento Box
* Challenge Participant may FORFEIT his/her place in the challenge (for any reason at all) and must do so by inbox to Admins Chloe or Rozi.
* Challenge Participant who fail to inform of forfeit and has not fullfilled the criteria of challenge will be an automatic disqualification.
* To eliminate confusion during Challenge Week, non Challenge photos will be REMOVED.

Help Tip : To prevent your apples from browning quickly, dip it in apple, orange, lemon or lime juice. Apparently ginger ale and salt water works too.

June Silly Sunday - Nursery Rhymes

It's SILLY SUNDAY BENTO time. For those of you who are new to the group every second week of each month is SILLY SUNDAY BENTO. a bento just for fun for sunday. this is to help everyone get their creative juices flowing without the pressure of our monthly challenge. And you get to choose the theme! Remember; no food items. pick a theme any theme. the choice is yours!

So the theme for SILLY SUNDAY BENTO is NURSERY RHYMES!

My daughter's current favourite rhyme is Baa Baa Black sheep and Mary Had A Little Lamb hence these bentos but they were very rushed so minimal decoration
Both have soboro ingredients of scrambled eggs, minced meat and the black sheep (covered with black sesame seeds) needed one more bag so he got fried beans ~ Jessie Pang

Dinner Bento-Humpty Dumpty made from hard boiled egg. Honey garlic chicken with fried rice as wall. Egg white as clouds, egg flower, carrots and broccoli to add some colours :) ~ Adeline Hii

Breakfast consists of a cow sandwich with milk jam filling, spots colored using a black food-safe marker (which always turned greenish afterwards), marshmallow fluff for the pink udder and snout, bread with strawberry jam for the barn, cheese details, and strawberries and blueberries
